Change Sassa Phone Number for SRD Grant in 2024,  it takes only one minute. Ensure you have the same ID number you used when applying for the SASSA SRD grant before updating your contact number.

There are 2 primary reasons for changing a number

1. Wrong Contact Details on SASSA Grant Application

2. Sim Card lost, or Cell Phone Stolen.

  3. Please enter the 6-digit App ID given by SASSA to approve your grant application.

  4. To confirm you’re the one who applied, click on “Submit”.

  5. To update your contact details, simply click on “Update Phone Number”.

  6. Update your SASSA contact info! Share your new phone number so they can reach you     easily.

  7. A code will be sent to your phone (the number you gave us) in a text message to confirm it’s yours.

  8. Type in the SASSA OTP code, then tap on “Verify Pin” to confirm.

  9. We’ll send you another message to make sure you want to change your phone number.

 10. Tap “Submit” to confirm the new number.

 11. SASSA needs about two weeks (14 days) to check your new information and update your payments.

Notice; SASSA warns: if you change sassa phone number often can delay your grant payments and Sassa reapplication due to verification. It’s best to keep the same number if possible to avoid any hassles.

If your SASSA application phone is lost or stolen, changing your contact details can be tricky without a one-time code (OTP). Here’s what you need to do:

 1. SASSA says it’s important to let them know right away if you lose your phone number. This is because they use your phone to contact you about your grant.

2. If your phone is stolen and you’ve registered it with SASSA, let them know by clicking this link: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/auth.

3. Type your ID Number.

4. Entering your ID number here confirms that someone changed the phone number linked to your SASSA SRD R350 grant application without your knowledge.

5. Please confirm your decision by selecting either “Yes” or “No”.

6. If you say yes, you’ll get a message saying ‘Report on changing unauthorized cell phone number submitted to SASSA successfully’.
