SASSA, which stands for South African Social Security Agency, recently released the payment plan for the beginning of 2024. Managed by the Department of Social Development, this grant has been vital for many eligible South Africans, refugees, and asylum seekers since starting in May 2020. As February SASSA payments roll out, there’s news of a ZAR 64 raise in the SRD grant from April.

SASSA increase the SRD Grant starting from April 2024

SASSA is thinking about giving SRD grant receivers more money. They might raise the grant from R350 to R413, which is a big increase of R63. Our records show that the SASSA has prolonged the R350 grant until 2025. Based on this, we anticipate that the SRD R350 grant will rise to R413, in line with current inflation trends, as stated by Deputy President Paul Mashatile.
